These two-story and four-story office buildings were built 8 years apart for a regional real estate development firm and their tenants. As speculative office space structures, the architect’s initial involvement was to develop documents for construction of the building’s exterior skin, lobby spaces, and vertical circulation core.
The client’s request was for a simple and straightforward commercial office building where the primary building materials would provide long-term maintenance free serviceability along with aesthetic value. Steel hangers were attached to a pre-engineered steel frame to support the continuous brick spandrels above the first and second floor windows.
