Scranton Cultural Center

The Scranton Masonic Temple and Scottish Rite Cathedral was designed by Raymond Hood and constructed in 1927. Now home to The Scranton Cultural Center, it is the subject of a $14,000,000 restoration project. The architectural, structural,
mechanical, electrical, plumbing designs and construction plans are phased to accommodate the cultural center’s administration and full schedule of events and performances. Considering that much of the material and craftsmanship contained in this building is no longer readily available, the preservation of this Nationally Registered Historic Place depends on a meticulously implemented restoration, life cycle analysis and maintenance plan.
