This office building was built as the national headquarters for a Fortune 500 institutional food brokerage house, with a full 20,000 SF floor of flex tenant space. The corporate building program included a full commercial test kitchen, a computer room, a 500 KVA back-up generator, an uninterrupted power supply system, and a fitness facility.
All regulatory approvals were secured with the architects as prime design professionals, including review by the local Industrial Fund’s architectural committee. An interior design package with over 120 different floor, ceiling, and wall finishes was coordinated by the architect.
The building’s superstructure is a multi-story pre-engineered steel frame, which was used for scheduling predictability. A conventionally designed structural steel frame at the entrance element was grafted on to develop an architectural presence. The project was completed in 12 months, from start of design to occupancy.
